Background

The World in 2018 Gala Dinner, organised by The Economist, returns to Hong Kong on November 30th at the JW Marriott Hotel. The event is a great opportunity to engage your clients in an evening of intelligent entertainment.

 

Daniel Franklin, executive editor of The Economist and editor of The World in…, will offer bold predictions for the year ahead with the wit and clarity for which the newspaper is renowned. Helle Thorning-Schmidt, chief executive of Save the Children and former prime minister of Denmark, Ana Brnabić, prime minister of Serbia, and Carrie Lam, chief executive of Hong Kong SAR will join Daniel on stage for interviews throughout the evening. The event will end with the award-winning Kevin Kallaugher (KAL), editorial cartoonist of The Economist, who will return to set 2018’s satirical scene.
